After the frustrations and depression of the Middle Ages Europe finally woke up. The Renaissance was a period of incredible advances in art, science and technology. It was an incredible age of discovery throughout Europe. It was a time when the individual truly could make a difference. Men like Leonardo Da Vinci and Niccolo Machiavelli truly made their mark on the world. It was truly the beginning of the modern world.
