If someone told me a year ago that I'd be getting e-mails almost daily from teachers literally around the world because of this site I'd have called them crazy. My goal was simply to get a database up showing the movies and music I used to bring my classroom to life. The excitement I've seen from those teachers visiting the site has inspired me to do so much more.
If you are interested in helping me continue to grow this site as support my classroom please review the various options below. Any help is most appreciated!
Providing Experience/Critiques
One way teachers can really help me out is by providing reports on how the things from my site worked (and didn't work!) with their students. I am constantly updating and adjusting assignments based on how my students respond to them and I could improve them even more if I had other teachers providing comments as well. I would like to create a full, thoroughly tested curriculum that teachers can access at no cost. Too many people want money for something I feel should be free. Your help in providing critiques will ensure that free doesn't mean inferior!
Keep Visiting/Linking
Most people I hear from were directed to the site by another teacher. Keep it up! Any links to my site help me move up the rankings in Google and therefore sends me more traffic.
The added benefit is my continued enthusiasm. Every time I hear from someone who says I've given them new life as a teacher it just makes me want to do that much more. When I see over 500 visitors in a week that truly excites me. If people are interested, I'll keep creating!
Shopping Through Our Amazon Links
If you get to
Amazon.com by using one of the links on my unit pages anything you buy during your visit (not only linked items) gives me a small percentage returned. The "earnings" come to me as Amazon gift cards which I have so far used to buy 4 books for my classroom library. You can also use the link below.
Direct Donations
I hate asking for money. I am truly envious of those teachers who have the confidence to do so. I am not one of them. I don't even like using my department funds or asking my principal for money so asking people I don't even know is a stretch for me. I figure everything I ask for though is directly for my classroom and students. So, I'm going to give it a shot.
There are two options for sending me donations.
First there is DonorChoose.org. I will try to keep one or more active projects going on the site at all times. Currently I am seeking donations for a Flip Mino video camera so my AVID class can make videos to be distributed to our local elementary schools.

The second option is to donate directly to me using ChipIn. ChipIn sends the money directly to my PayPal account with no overhead fees (DonorsChoose has a smaller overhead charge to pay the site's costs). I am currently aiming high and hoping to get $1000 to replace my lost classroom sound system. (I am moving rooms in September...) The Classmate ES2000 is what I had and would like to have again.
